Our Story
Prana Tree grew out of a genuine passion for arboriculture, the science and craft of caring for trees properly, not just removing them quickly.
That passion still shapes how we work today. Every job, big or small, gets the same standard: honest advice first, careful technical work second, and a site left exactly as promised.

Our Team
A typical job is completed by a team of three: a lead arborist, a qualified climber, and ground crew handling rigging, chipping, and clean-up. For larger or more technical projects, additional qualified arborists join the team.
Every team member is trained in aerial climbing, chainsaw operation, rigging systems, and on-site safety, so you get consistent, professional work regardless of job size.

Green waste is chipped and recycled, not wasted. Surplus mulch and firewood are regularly offered free to the local community, while stock lasts.

Clear, honest updates from quote to completion, including telling you when a tree doesn't need to come down.
Local Knowledge, Not Generic Advice
Every tree species behaves differently depending on where it's growing. We work regularly with native pōhutukawa, kōwhai, rimu, northern rātā, tawa, kohekohe, titoki, and nīkau, alongside common exotics like macrocarpa and pine, and we treat each one according to how it actually grows in this region, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
That local knowledge matters. A coastal pōhutukawa on the Kapiti Coast faces different wind and salt exposure than the same species in a sheltered Wellington suburb, and that changes how it should be pruned and maintained.
